“Red Level”
Program Level
The 1st level of progressive tennis uses larger decompressed balls to allow for easier exchanges, 19″ to 21″ racquets for better control, mini sized nets and a smaller 12-meter court, which is proportional to the size of the student.
Students will play on ½ court progressive net
Players may still have basic tennis abilities like catching and throwing at this point, but they might not be proficient in rallying. It’s possible that some students can hit the ball, but with limited accuracy. This level focuses on improving fundamental athletic abilities such as throwing, catching, and tracking, all of which are directly related to improving their tennis performance. During this phase, participants will also be introduced to different shots and proper grips.
The goal for this class is to improve player hand-eye coordination and boost their ability to accurately judge the bounce and speed of the ball, which will in turn improve their receiving and hitting skills.
Expected Outcome
- Introduce decision-making.
- Describe the game’s regulations and the ethics of tennis.
- Learn the fundamentals of both technical and tactical tennis.
- Further develop fundamental movement & motor skills (FitLight, skipping ropes, vertical and horizontal targets, medicine and swiss balls)
To progress to the next level, completing at least two sessions successfully is necessary, and approval from the coach is required for advancement.
