“ORANGE TENNIS”
Program Level
Introduce the fundamentals of the game and lay a solid technical foundation
Students will play on ¾ court progressive net. The 3/4 court stage is the most important stage of progressive development as the court dimensions are adjusted smaller but with a similar ratio as the full court. This step helps ensure the development of an all-court game style.
Children in the 9-10 age range can benefit from the orange ball tennis program, which emphasizes movement, footwork, and coordination through entertaining game-based learning.
Players will be taught techniques of covering the orange court during point play at the orange ball level. As long as they consistently work on improving their rallying and basic point play skills, coach will concentrate on honing those skills.
Expected Outcome
- Maintain & improve decision-making abilities.
- Introduce general physical fitness and use involvement in other sports to hone basic motor skills even further.
- Gain an understanding of fundamental psychological concepts such as focus, emotional regulation, drive and determination, and optimism.
- In match play, further hone and solidify all core tennis competencies (technical and tactical).
To progress to the next level, completing at least two sessions successfully is necessary, and approval from the coach is required for advancement.
